Dear Mrs. Lee,

I am writing to complain about the situation of your holiday flat where my friends and I spent the weekend. We found that the environment of the flat was totally different from what you described in your promotion leaflet.

First, you said your holiday flat could accommodate eight people, but there was only a small bed in it. Worse still, the bed was torn and dirty. Then the washroom, the floor, the wall and the rubbish bin were all dirty too. Actually, nowhere in your flat was clean. This dirty environment naturally attracted dozens of horrible insects.

Furthermore, the television was not working properly, so we missed a great football match that night. The cooking utensils were not installed in the kitchen but put everywhere in the flat. Moreover, the flat had no sea view as you mentioned in the leaflet. Under such conditions, how can you describe your holiday flat as ¡¥modern¡¦? Can you charge us $1,000 a night?

I am very disappointed at the worst environment of your holiday flat. I hope you can refund the money we paid and apologize to us.

Dear Mrs. Lee,

I write to complain about your holiday flat. Last weekend, my friends and I went to Cheung Chau and rented your holiday flat. We could hardly believe our eyes and we thought it was not suitable for guests to live in.

Unlike what your poster described, the flat was extremely small and there was only a single bed. It would be a miracle if it had enough room for eight people. Your flat was in a mess. The window curtains were dirty and torn. We didn't know how long you had not washed the blanket. The floor had not been swept for a long time and big cockroaches crawled on the floor in broad daylight. The damaged rubbish bin was as dirty as the rubbish. Then, the small table was broken. The television could not show any pictures. Furthermore, no kitchen facilitates were available. It was dangerous to cook food nearby the television and curtains. The toilet was in the worst conditions. It made me sick. Did you boast of the seaview? We could only see a high wall outside the window.

We were angry and that urged us to write this letter. The real picture of the flat was completely contrary to your exaggerating poster. We think this is no different from cheating. We hope you can refund our money. It is not worth the money we spent. I look forward to hearing your favourable reply.

Yours sincerely,

Chris Wong
