I think it is the right time for our school to move to Lantau Island after 40 years of history.

Lantau is an outlying island where we often go for the school picnic or day camp. With the promotion of the main tourist areas by the Hong Kong SAR Government in recent years, Lantau is more well-known nowadays for the tourist spots such as Po Lin Monastery, Hong Kong Disneyland and the Ngong Ping Skyrail. Keeping pace with the fast development, transportation is now greatly improved with the access of the MTR to Tung Chung. It just takes us about 20 minutes to reach Tung Chung from Kowloon.

I will choose Lantau Island as the new location for our school mainly because of the environment and the abundance of fresh air. It is quite obvious that people's state of health can be assured. The school library will be equipped with thousands of reading materials in different subjects. This is very important for the students to learn apart from the school lessons.

Space is another advantage. The playground will be very large with good facilities. We can have a swimming pool, race track, a multi-function indoor games hall and so on. All these facilities can provide us with daily training so that we can keep a healthy physical condition. Students can play ball games or chat with friends during leisure time.

On the other hand, if the new school moves to a small building in Kowloon with a small playground, there will be more disadvantages. Notwithstanding the transportation is very convenient, congestion or even accidents may happen frequently. The air is so polluted and the place is so crowded in Kowloon. In addition, there are many temptations nearby such as Karaoke, TV games, shopping malls and cinemas. Students will not concentrate on their studies if they cannot resist the temptations. Do you agree?

Those are my opinions about our beloved school. I think Lantau Island is a suitable place for our new school. I hope I can study in such a school in the future.
