Paper is clearly important to the education process, so not distributing paper to students may cause a lot of inconvenience and will adversely affect the quality of teaching and learning.
3. What are the other ways to protect the environment at school?
To protect the environment at school, students should use paper on both sides and make use of scrap paper. They should turn computers and electronics off when not in use. They can also take part in tree planting programs or clean-up campaigns.

Do you think you are a green person?
I regard myself as a green person because I do my best to recycle, reuse and reduce. I use the green products and organic foods. I am taking care of the environment and everything around us.
2. What kinds of environmental problems are there in Hong Kong?
Air pollution in Hong Kong is considered a serious environmental problem. The pollution comes largely from vehicles and the tens of thousands of factories in China. Noise problem, heavy traffic loads, unsafe food and contaminated seafood are also common environmental problems in Hong Kong.
3. What can the government do to make our city greener?
The government can put more efforts to encourage people to cut waste and reduce water consumption. Power companies should be required to use more renewable resources to generate electricity. There should be strict building codes favouring green technology.
4. Does technology make our life more environmentally friendly?
Definitely, technology is helping us to save the environment. For example, a smart washing machine, energy efficient fan, LED light bulb and rechargeable battery can save us a lot of money and energy.
5. Do you think legislation is the only way to make our city greener?
Apart from legislation, there are dozens, if not hundreds, of ways that a city can go green. For example, recycle at home, reduce our use of fossil fuels, use public transportation, bring your shopping bag and buy local organic products.
