A Good Recipe

My grandmother taught me a very good recipe to make vegetable soup. I would like to share it with you.

First, wash the carrots and potatoes very well. Peel the carrots and potatoes. Then, cut the carrots, potatoes and cabbage in small pieces.

Put oil into the saucepan. Next, pour the carrots, potatoes and cabbage into the saucepan. After that, add water and a chicken cube to the saucepan, boil the mixture for approximately fifteen minutes.

Finally, add soya sauce and pepper to the saucepan. This vegetable soup is very delicious!!

Buying Things in Supermarkets

Yesterday, I went to Ming Kee Supermarket and Park'n Shop. I compared the prices of the two supermarkets.

A bottle of Coca Cola (1.25litres) costs the same price in both supermarkets. It costs $7.9. A bottle of Watson's Distilled Water (800ml) costs $4.9 in Ming Kee Supermarket and it costs $5.7 in Park'n Shop. A packet of Jack'n Jill Potato Chips costs $3.9 in Ming Kee Supermarket and it costs $2.9 in Park'n Shop. A packet of Nissin Instant Noodles (with sesame oil) costs the same price in both supermarkets.

I like Park'n Shop more than Ming Kee Supermarket. The main reason is not about the price. The groceries in Park'n Shop are more expensive than the groceries in Ming Kee Supermarket. I like Park'n Shop because it is just under my apartment and the shop assistants are helpful and it is tidy and clean.

Supermarket

How often do you go to supermarket? I always go to supermarket with my mother. We can buy many things in supermarket, for example, fruit, meat and household goods. It is very convenient when we buy things in supermarket.

Here are two supermarkets, one is Park N Shop and the other is Wellcome. The Park N shop is in Kwai Fong while the Wellcome is in Shek Yam. If I choose one, I will choose Park N Shop.

The two supermarkets are not the same. The Park N Shop in Kwai Fong is larger than Wellcome in Shek Yam. The price is also different. Let's compare their products. Wellcome always offers discounts but Park N Shop just sometimes offers discounts. Concerning the politeness of staff, those of Park N Shop are more polite than those of Wellcome.

All in all, Wellcome is my favourite supermarket because I can enjoy the frequent discounts.

Lost Property

I have lost my English book, a purse, and a bag. I have lost them in the park for three days. At that time, my bag was on the chair. I was riding a bike with my friends. I was very happy but I felt too uneasy. After that, I wanted to go home, but my bag was not on the chair.

The English book and my purse are in the bag. The English book is large, rectangular and orange in colour. The purse is made of leather. It is round and black and I have forty dollars in there. The bag is big, rectangular and blue in colour.

I am very unhappy because my I.D. card and Library card are in the bag, too.

I lost my schoolbag on a No.235M bus going from On Yam Estate to Kwai Fong MTR station at 4:30 pm on Wednesday 23rd September. My schoolbag is large, round, blue and is made of cloth. It is about 35cm wide and 40cm long.

In the schoolbag, there are a pencil case, two books and a birthday present. My pencil case is very big (25 cm long and 15 cm wide), rectangular and purple. It is made of metal. Also, there are two books. One is an English book and the other is a Chinese book. One of the books is small, rectangular and grey. Another book is big, square and yellow. Then the birthday present is wrapped by a box. The box is big, square and brown. It is made of paper. Inside the box is a cartoon bear. It is big, round and black.

In the pencil case, there are a pen, a pencil, a ruler and a watch. The pen is 10 cm long, blue and it is made of plastic. Furthermore, the pencil is 5 cm long, black and it is made of wood. Also, there is a ruler with cartoon. The cartoon is big and fat. The ruler is 2 cm long. It is white and it is made of plastic. The last one is very expensive. It is a watch. It is blue and it is made of steel.

COMPARE TWO SUPERMARKETS

The name of supermarket A is Welcome and supermarket B is Parkin. Welcome is in Kwai Chung. Parkin is in Kowloon.

I like Parkin because it is bigger than Welcome. Parkin has more branches. The opening hours in Parkin are longer than in Welcome. Parkin opens from 7:00 to 1:00 a.m. but Welcome opens from 8:00 to 10:00p.m.

If you ask me which has more choice of goods and more things to buy, I will say Parkin, not Welcome. Parkin is big and has more choice and the choice is the best. Parkin is cleaner and tidier than Welcome. I will choose Parkin. I think Parkin is better if not the best supermarket in Hong Kong.

I went shopping at Parknshop and Wellcome yesterday. Parknshop is in Kwai Fong. Wellcome is in Shek Lei.

The size of Parknshop is bigger than that of Wellcome. The opening hours of Wellcome is longer than that of Parknshop. There is more choice of goods in Parknshop than in Wellcome.

Parknshop is cleaner and tidier than Wellcome. The shop assistants in Wellcome are more polite than those in Parknshop.

The price of groceries in Wellcome is lower than that in Wellcome. For example, Colgate toothpaste costs $15.3 in Parknshop but it only costs $14.9 in Wellcome.

The name of the supermarket A is Ming Kee. The name of the supermarket B is Wellcome. Ming Kee is in Sek Yam Estate and Wellcome is in On Yam Estate. Wellcome is bigger than Ming Kee. Wellcome also opens longer hours than Ming Kee. My choice is Wellcome. The shop assistances in Wellcome are more helpful and polite than in Ming Kee. The groceries in Ming Kee are more expensive than those of Wellcome. I like Wellcome because Wellcome is cleaner than Ming Kee.

In addition, the products at Ming Kee are much more expensive than those of Wellcome.

After comparing the two supermarkets, I will choose the Wellcome because it is more convenient than the Parkn and the food there is fresher.

The shop assistants in CRC are more polite and friendly than those in Wellcome. The price of goods in CRC is cheaper than that in Wellcome.

I like shopping at CRC because it is cleaner and tidier. Yet some people still prefer to shop at Wellcome because the food there is fresher.
